QINVEST joins Careers Platform event at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar
“We have witnessed increased interest in the investment banking industry from a diverse range of students.” said Pascale Al Sabbagh, Assistant Vice President - Human Resources, QINVEST. “Several visitors to our stand stressed that the growing investor demand for more innovative, income-generating and Sharia’a compliant products has allowed students to venture into job opportunities offered by investment banks” added Al Sabbagh.
“Sharia’a compliant investment products, in particular, saw increased interest from students this year. Participants were broadly broken down into two groups. The first group were interested in the ethical and social characteristics of the products covering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors. The second group were students largely attracted to join the industry due the commercial opportunity offered by the products, as an alternative to conventional financial solutions.” Al Sabbagh concluded.
